College for Women, Parade Ground, Jammu, is a realisation of Maharani Tara Devi's far-sighted vision to spread education among the women of Jammu, culminating in the establishment of Maharani Mahila College on June 1, 1944. On November 25, 1953, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir assumed control of the College.
