2026 Update: Wenger’s began in 1926 as a tea room and confectionery at Exchange Stores in Kashmere Gate, Delhi. In the late 1920s or early 1930s, it moved to Connaught Place, where it has remained ever since. Over the years, Wenger’s successfully operated bakeries and confectioneries in Delhi and Shimla, opened three restaurants in Connaught Place, introduced ice-cream manufacturing in Delhi, ran a café at Delhi University, and provided catering services to embassies, courts, including the High Court and Supreme Court, and the Government of India. In 2011, they launched a new outlet called Wenger’s Deli, serving deli-style food to the public."
