The library was established to serve the needs of students, research scholars, and faculty members of the University. Central Library has an extensive collection designed to support a wide range of research and learning requirements. They have over 771,097 books and bound volumes, along with 20,364 PhD theses, ensuring access to a large repository of knowledge. They also provide 4,221 e-books, 106 print journals, and 6,504 e-journals and e-databases, offering updated resources for users. They maintain 22 daily newspapers and 35 magazines, providing diverse reading materials for both academic and recreational purposes. Central Library features a dedicated children's reading room and a separate air-conditioned space for newspaper reading. The library’s mission focuses on educating young minds and supporting personal growth, prioritising the greater good over profit.”
