"Hirachand Nemchand Library is known for its exceptional kindness and support, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The music department currently holds 75 records of Prabhudev Sardar's singing, 250 records of Hindi, Marathi, and other songs, 100 records of classical music, 50 records of Thumri and Dadra, and 50 CDs, which are played free of charge for the interested audience at least once a month. The library is stocked with books on the history of India and ancient Indian culture, as well as classic works by great poets such as Kalidas, Bhavabhuti, Kautilya, and more. The library also offers books by Western philosophers like Plato, Aristotle, John Stuart Mill, Jeremy Bentham, Karl Marx, Russell, and Bernard Shaw. The library has rare and conceptual books available, with free access to reference materials like Marathi encyclopedias, cultural encyclopedias, social science encyclopedias, and the Encyclopedia Britannica. 2026 Update: The work of barcoding and computerization of books has been completed to provide quick information about whether the book the reader wants is available in the library.The children’s department is thoughtfully designed with comfortable seating and decorated with colorful paintings to create an inviting reading environment. To encourage a love for books from an early age, a five-day reading workshop is held annually in collaboration with the 'Aastha' organization for children aged 9 to 15. Additionally, a fifteen-day drama training camp is organized each year to help young learners develop their theatrical and performance skills."
