Also, there is a shortage of parking so we had to park on the roadside.

Simply Mind blowing engineering by the Indian scientists way back in 1969 and what an engineering feat it was! This was the first experience of seeing a submarine and the tough life by our navy personnel under the sea is astounding. Kudos to our engineers, scientists and most importantly our navy and Indian army. A must must visit and highly recommended.

There are many historical items presented by different countries too. The museum also showcases a search light reflector 30", the route of Vasco-da-Gama's maiden voyage to India and also the words of Nehru, To be secure on land, we must be supreme at sea.Its a wonderful museum to learn about Indian historic discovery in terms of naval power. Good place to understand our current defence power.. It transports you to different time and different world.

A good place for Naval aircraft enthusiast because here we have an actual Naval aircraft and we are allowed to go inside it via a bridge and that is the most awesome part of this place. Here from inside you can see every machinery as it is and appreciate the connections engineering behind such an amazing flying machine.

The ideal time is to visit in the evening hours, and you can buy a combined ticket for the submarine museum and the aircraft museum. The whole interior is brimming with the bravery of the Indian Air Force officers and staff in fighting those tough wars. You will get a glimpse of the aircraft and can understand the intricacies of the same. The approximate visit time is 20-30 minutes and you should not miss this in Vizag.
