I had got the TKR of my father aged 84 done by Dr. S. K. Mahapatra.Many of my friends and relations were skeptical about the surgery at a relatively small town like Rourkela as compared to big cities like Bhubaneswar, Vizag, Delhi, Mumbai, Gurugram etc citing the fancy new technology like robotic replacement. But it is the dexterity of the surgeon which gives the outcome. My father has completely forgotten that he was having the knee problem after the replacement. It is not just a case as my other relations are also doing well after getting TKR done by Dr. Mahapatra. The icing on the cake is that he is a gem of a person, down to earth though having a vast experience in replacements. God bless him.
