“Dr. Sarit Sekhar Pattanaik is a renowned rheumatologist in Cuttack, Odisha. He graduated with an MBBS from SCB Medical College, Cuttack, in 2012, followed by a PG Degree in Internal Medicine from the same institution in 2016. Dr. Pattanaik completed his Post Doctoral DM in Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology in 2020 at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. He has authored more than 9 publications and received several prestigious awards and recognitions. These include the Indian Rheumatology Association (IRA) Undergraduate Research Fellowship in 2010, where his project on the "Role of TLR mutations in Systemic onset JIA" was recognised. He was also the Runner-up at the National Rheumatology Quiz hosted by the Indian Rheumatology Association in 2014, 2015, and 2018. Dr. Pattanaik has presented oral papers and posters at the American College of Rheumatology conference (ACR) in 2015 in San Francisco, California, USA. He was honored with the Dr. Vigthalrao Nadgouda Best All India Annual Thesis Award for his MD thesis titled "Role of IL-6, IFN-α in SLE and their correlation with disease activity (SLEDAI 2K) & chronicity (SLICC ACR DAMAGE INDEX)" at the API Annual Conference in 2017. Furthermore, he received an IRA research grant in 2018 for his project on "Lymphocyturia and urinary sCD25 as a biomarker for lupus nephritis activity".”
