Speciality:
"Kanan Pendari Zoological Garden is a lush and scenic zoo located in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, covering 114 hectares. Originally established as a forest department nursery in 1975, it later became a wild animal rescue center in 1997, housing deer, bears, and other wildlife. In 2002, India's Central Zoo Authority (CZA) recognised it as a micro zoo, and by 2008, it was officially designated as a small zoo. Over time, the center gained popularity and even functioned as a cheetah breeding facility, overseen by the Bilaspur Forest Division. Situated just 9 km from Bilaspur, Kanan Pendari Zoological Garden continues to serve as a wildlife conservation and educational hub, offering visitors a chance to experience nature up close.
