“Lakhota Palace and Museum pleasing palace, which was built by the rulers of Nawangar. The Museum houses artefacts dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, including a whale skeleton, swords, powder flasks, Jadeja Rajput artefacts, and items related to Gujarat monarchs. The lake makes it a wonderful spot to spend time with family and friends. The frescoes and paintings on the walls of the Lakhota Museum portray different wars waged by the Jadeja Rajputs. Lakhota Palace and Museum has a synthetic running track, which serves the purpose of walking and jogging for the local community. There are also many food joints and fun activities for the children near the lake.”

Darbar Gadh, located in Jamnagar, Gujarat, is a historic royal complex that reflects the grandeur of the region’s princely past. Known for its intricate architecture, it features beautifully carved gateways, detailed jharokhas, and exquisite stonework. Once the seat of the Jadeja rulers, it offers insights into the cultural heritage of Saurashtra.

A legendary place at the middle of Jamnagar, I am excited to be there. I purchased many traditional fashionware from the market. A very special textile process called "Bandhni" : fabric tied and dyed to create a unique look of the clothing is the heritage of the city.

Darbargadh Jamnagar is a hidden gem! This historical palace is a testament to the rich heritage of Jamnagar. The intricate architecture and vibrant colors transport you to a bygone era. Exploring the courtyards and halls felt like stepping back in time.

LAKHOTA PALACE AND MUSEUM REVIEWS

We visited the majestic Lakhota Talav (lake) and palace in the middle of the large lake in the heart of Jamnagar city sometime back. The palace lighting after sunset, was truly spellbinding and something worthy to behold. I have written a detailed article about our Gujarat trip. You can search using the keywords - lets go Gujarat. This might help you plan your trip better.

Great place for history enthusiasts park entry and museum entry are charged seperately attached the video from inside the museum but got caught by the security officer.

It's nice place to visit you got peace of mind .you can visit any time but I recommend please visit in evening.

KHIJADIA BIRD SANCTUARY REVIEWS

Khijadiya bird sanctuary is a true haven for birds and nature lovers, offering a glimpse of a thriving, balanced ecosystem. Also a true combination of birds, water lilies, and green surroundings creates a stunning and peaceful environment, reflective water and lush greenery make this sanctuary a perfect spot for birdwatching and enjoying nature.

Beautiful sanctuary.. part 1 and 2 both are worth visiting. Part 1 has more scenic beauty. Reception people are good and friendly. Government has appointed an experienced bird guide equipped with monocular at watch tower of part 2. He shares knowledge perfectly and free of charges.

Lovely bird sanctuary, has around 300 varieties of birds, need to take your own binoculars to enjoy, though they have a ranger stationed on a tower with binoculars was good, we could see flamingos pelicans and few other birds.
