The Jhansi Fort is situated at the top of Bagirain Uttar Pradesh in the northern part of India. The fort is an architectural monument from the 17th century. It was undergone massive destruction in the First War of Independence against the British East India Company. Visitors can see the creative architecture, Kal Kothari or a dungeon for prisoners, temples, and museums. The Jhansi Fort also has a war memorial which was built as a tribute to martyrs. Nearby the fort, Rani Lakshmibai Park built in the memory of her poignant role in the freedom struggle.

Rani Mahal was built in the eighteen century. It is the former residence and royal palace of Rani Lakshmi Bai. Some of the beautiful spots are destroyed during the Indian Rebellion. Later the mahal was renovated into a museum with artefacts from the 9th century and the life of Rani Lakshmibai. Rani Mahal has a six-hall, two-tiered building, which also includes the famous Darbar hall. Visitors can explore the history of India, the rulers, their tradition and the events that took place during medieval times. Everyone can enjoy the visit free.
