This is the best preserved, best maintained fort I have seen in India having travelled here for more than 10 years. It also offers nice views of the city. If you are on your way to or from Orchha I would recommend stopping for an hour – there is a big parking lot directly out front. The fort walls are also well lit in the evening—you can view it while having and drinks down below at Molecule.

An historical palace in the middle of the town. It is more like a museum now. The rooms and the courtyard is filled with stone carvings from various archeological sites. A good place to visit if you are interested in historical artifacts. Now from the windows you can see the busy market street shops with vehicles honking literally every second. One can only imagine how the outdoors looked like during it glorious days.

This palace shows the lifestyle, way of living and talking of Rani Lakshmi Bai. Many memories related to the queen have been kept in this palace, it shows how brave the queen was and how much she loved her subjects. Along with this, her struggle also shows that she loved her country very much and sacrificed everything to make her country free. I am very proud to be here.

Jhansi is famous worldwide for exemplary courage, sacrifice and bravery of its queen Rani Lakshmi Bai Manu and her trusted lieutenant Tatya Tope and Nana fadnavis. Within the sprawling campus of Jhansi fort and Rani Laxmi Bai Park, there is a Government museum in which a digital gallery has been recently started. The galary beautifully depicts 1857 first war of independence, life history of Rani and interesting electronic interactive quiz on freedom struggle and general knowledge etc. is a major public attraction. A thrilling virtual helicopter ride can also be experienced here. Ticket is very nominal. The museum is closed on Monday. It's one day outing for family to take a round around Jhansi fort (where a light and sound show is also held in evening), Rani Lakshmi Bai park and this museum. Highly recommended for visit.

One of the largest museums I've come across. To visit the museum one needs to buy the tickets. At the entrance, multiple statues were installed. This is a huge museum and the way they maintained it is awesome. Inside the museum you'll find multiple themes like armory section, dolls, coin section , documents etc. To explore the whole museum around 1-2 hours is required.
