UPVAN LAKE GARDEN REVIEWS

Upvan Lake is centrally located and recently visited during upvan festival. Festival brings lights all around the lake which has eateries and different stalls of art and collections. People visit from different locations for enjoying the art festival and enjoying the acts and plays. Most scenic during evening as sun sets around yeor hills. Parking is available across the lake and joggers enjoy this place in morning.

Upvan lake now reconstructed they have given historical architecture theme to the stone structure. The sitting area is spacious especially during evening time, one can enjoy the sunset view peacefully. Fountain light show is the new attraction with music.

A good spot for boys and girls.. you will see a lot of teens enjoying their time alone.. Going with family is a little odd there but you can go around 7 as the light shows start and a lot of families will be there.

OVALEKAR WADI BUTTERFLY GARDEN REVIEWS

Ovalekar Wadi Butterfly Garden, developed by Rajendra Ovalekar sir, is a living paradise in the city of Thane. It is situated on the bustling Ghodbundar road but feels quiet as soon as you enter it. The place is home to numerous species of butterflies, insects, and reptiles. Would recommend doing a guided trail with Ovalekar sir and get introduced to the colourful world of butterflies.

Unbelievable! It's the work of a single person (& his son now) over a lifetime. Being a student of zoology, I was surprised that I didn't even know the basics about butterflies that Ovalekar sir mentioned in his guided tour. Will prepare myself better and go back again.

Nice and calm place. Various different types of butterflies available over there. The guide present over there is very helpful and explains all the varieties in detail. A beautiful place very much connected to the city.

THANE CREEK FLAMINGO SANCTUARY REVIEWS

Visiting this location during the peak season, from October to November, offers an extraordinary experience of nature. During this time, the presence of flamingos creates a breathtaking view. The site provides stunning vistas of the sea and the bridge, making it an ideal spot for photographers. Additionally, a boat facility is available for visitors to enjoy close-up views of the flamingos and the sea.

Great place to watch all the water birds, especially flamingos in this season. The booking office is also very good with helpful people. They have boat rides which are usually full, so better book it early. The ride is 1 ish hour where they take you closer to the birds. All in all a very good experience. Must try for birders and photographers.

Good one time experience through the Thane creek and mangroves. Watching birds in their usual habitats. Thousands of migratory flamingos. Beautiful big pink birds.
