"Dr. Devang Maheshchandra Desai completed his MBBS and MD at M.S. University, Baroda. He finished his DM in cardiology at Mumbai University. Dr. Devang is the first cardiologist from Surat to perform ulnar artery angioplasty and stenting. In his 35-year career as an Interventional Cardiologist, he has performed 52,000 angiographic procedures and about 24,000 angioplasties, BMVs, coronary stentings, and pacemaker implantation procedures. Dr. Devang regularly attends workshops and conferences organised at national and international levels. He has published in different journals and served as guest faculty at various cardiology summits. He is the Chief of the Department of Cardiology at the UNICARE Heart Institute. He is also attached to various hospitals in Navsari and Surat, as well as Breach Candy Hospital, Cumbala Hill Hospital, and B.Y.L. Nayar Hospital in Mumbai.

2026 Update: Dr. Devang Maheshchandra Desai has achieved several fellowships in his career, FCSI-India [2008], and fellowships from the U.S.A. [Fellow of Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions] S.C.A.I. in the year of 2008, and [Fellow of American College of Cardiology] F.A.C.C. in the year of 2010. He is also deeply interested in Yoga and meditation, which are the adjacent tools of keeping the heart healthy."
