She completed her MBBS from Orissa State Medical University in 1988, MD in General Medicine from Sriram Chandra Bhanj Medical College, Cuttack, in 1992, and DM in Endocrinology from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, in 1996.
