(MJ Library) building structure was designed by English architect Claude Batley in Rajputana Colonial Style of architecture. The library is situated in the heart of the city, beside the Town Hall and is well connected with the Bus Transit system also The library’s collection of 3,81,079 books are massive and segregated across English, Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Marathi, Sindhi, Sanskrit, Urdu and French languages. The collection consists of books ranging from fictional novels to non-fiction works, comics to journals, biographies to academic books, and various other genres.

I am a life time member and have been visiting MJ library since last 20 years. One of the best libraries in Entire Gujarat. So many books are available here for reading. Also there is a separate reading room is available for students/ elders for reading magazines, books, different newspapers. One can take lifetime membership online without any hassles. MJ LIBRARY Atle Amdavad nu "Gaurav".

in 1938, MJ Library opened up for public readers. It has a huge collection of original and Authentic books on various subjects.. It is perfectly managed physically and is computerized as well. Definitely visitable on & oft.

Well maintained government library where you can find epitome of books. You can also access if you are preparing for government Exams. Clean and hygienic environment. Minimal fees to be a member.

Library has a good infrastructure, staff is polite , Whatever book you required you can access. Overall very good in all aspects.

Very much peaceful environment with best facilities such as magazine, newspaper, reading material for various competitive exams.
