“Anna Centenary Library was built at a cost of ₹172 crores, named after former Chief Minister C. N. Annadurai and was opened by M. Karunanidhi. The library saw a significant increase in visitors, growing from 20,000 monthly visitors. Anna Centenary Library houses a vast collection of 5 lakh books covering various subjects to serve the public, academic, and corporate communities. The library employs 200 staff members, including 96 permanent employees and 40 contract workers. The library features specialised sections such as Braille, children's books, Tamil and English books, periodicals, and a digital library. The library also boasts a Conference Hall with a capacity for 150 people. Anna Centenary Library is a section dedicated to the visually impaired, featuring talking books and Braille displays. The library provides parking space for about 420 cars and 1,030 two-wheelers.”

ANNA CENTENARY LIBRARY REVIEWS

Great collection of books, highly recommended for bookworms of all ages, and aspirants preparing for competitive exams as well as those who do some leisure reading of newspapers and magazines. Dedicated section for kids and a separation section to read your own books that you can bring make it really convenient for those who want some peaceful reading/studying sessions. Be sure to be there early in the morning around 8 am onwards if you plan to study longer and want to get a place to sit at a table/study chair especially in the competitive exams and own books sections, because those seats fill fast.

I have ever seen such a mastic library. Lots of students/people are reading books very peacefully. Lots of collections and well organised. Very good infrastructure by government of Tamil Nadu.

Amazing. Entire lifetime can be spent reading these books. That many books and all kinds. One life not enough to complete them

For those preparing for competitive exams, this location offers an abundance of valuable resources, including an extensive library with a vast collection of books. The peaceful surroundings and access to quality study materials make it an ideal setting for effective exam preparation

Best place to study and improve our knowledge. 3 floors with fully air conditioner rooms . We can take books home after getting library card. We can study in outside of the library with our own books good environment and comfortable place to sit . Computers with internet available study room for kids also available and a permanent book fair also available. Notes and spiral binding form of books and study materials allowed inside the library

One of the oldest libraries in tamilnadu. We were excited when we saw the oldest collection in this library.

This institute has an excellent infrastructure, well-experienced lectures and a quiet place for study with a calm mind. The staff and lectures are very friendly and the facilities are well-maintained. I joined English language course. They guided me a lot to speak with confidence and I am much better at communicating in English. I enjoyed your classes and learning with fun activities. Keep it up.

Excellent facilities. Good collection of books and magazines for reading and borrowing. More than that the ambience is great. For the people who love reading in quiet solitude this is the place to be. Close to metro station & ample parking space. Love it.

A very nice place in Chennai for English learning for kids and all age groups. Best known for IELTS. very nice ambiance staffs are very helpful. If you subscribe you get access to large learning resources.
