The Library has provided over 60 years of service and has helped more than 350 million people access valuable information. The Library is fully automated and provides quick information retrieval through online and CD-ROM databases, offering access to approximately 10,000 full-text journals. American Library also features 16,000 books and 150 print periodicals on a diverse range of topics, including law, trade, management, and American literature. The Library's DVD collection includes films, data, and software available for circulation. The Library’s online catalogue helps patrons find materials with ease. American Library is committed to outreach, regularly visiting schools and universities to expand their reach, particularly to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
