"Central Library is fully automated, using integrated software to organise records and manage services. They hold a large collection of books, journals, theses, and conference proceedings, with all documents bar-coded for easy access. The library provides a quiet environment for readers and uses an advanced smart library card system. They offer both print resources and licensed electronic resources, including E-Shodh Sindhu content, and are connected to the entire campus via LAN. The library is developing an Institutional Digital Repository on the DSpace platform and has established a Research Documentation Cell to track research indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. Central Library staff support the academic and research objectives of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.

2026 Update: Central Library houses a collection that includes 12,035 journal articles, 3,578 conference papers or proceedings, 655 books or book chapters, and 2,479 other resources. Their faculty and scientists number 422, contributing to the library’s academic and research activities."

One of the best place in india. Best facility for self study and it is on of the best and modern library of india. Also called as best library in Asia's 2nd best mining institute iitism dhanbad.

Best place currently in IIT Dhanbad. Gives the feeling of an IIT. Equipped with all the facilities needed and proved the perfect environment for studying.

I loved the place such a wonderful environment in library for study and the facilities also nice.

Definitely a good place to study. Inhouse cafeteria is clean and hygenic. The owner of the library is very humble soft spoken and very supportive person. thank you booketeria and thank you sir for providing this kind of place.

In this library, one can concentrate in one's study without any disturbance. Every aspirant is so discipline. In addition to it, the features, Sir/Admin provides us, are very good. Here one can avail of the features like cafeteria........etc
