Kerala University Library, located adjacent to the University Senate Hall campus, is one of the oldest and largest university libraries. It serves an average of 1000 to 1250 students, researchers, faculty members, graduates, and other visitors daily for study and research purposes. The library subscribes to 43 foreign journals, over 400 Indian periodicals, 35 popular magazines, and 20 newspapers. Kerala University Library collections include more than 350,000 books, with an annual addition of around 5,000 new titles, and access to nearly 500 journals, periodicals, and magazines. Kerala University Library also provides digital information services, including UGC Infonet. Special collections include Women’s Studies, Government Publications, General Biographies, and rare books, many of which are being digitised for easier access. The library is supported by several specialised departmental libraries and campus libraries at Karyavattom, along with study centre libraries in Alappuzha, Kollam, and Pandalam.
