Colonel Edward Cadogan served as the inaugural president of the Trivandrum Public Library committee. This institution boasts a children's section and an extensive book collection catering to all age groups. The reference section features elegant seating arrangements, and the library provides internet browsing facilities for members and non-members. Recognizing the needs of the visually impaired or physically disabled, the State Central Library initiated a Braille library section. Alongside rich reference resources, the library extends membership opportunities for its visitors.
