"The Partition Museum has attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors since its inception. Founded by the Government of Punjab in collaboration with The Arts and Cultural Heritage Trust (UK), the museum was established to honour and memorialise those affected by the Partition of India. The museum spans over 17,000 square feet and offers an immersive, world-class experience through multiple media formats. Its collection includes items brought by refugees during the sudden partition of Pakistan and India, as well as stories, materials, and documents related to the post-partition riots. The museum offers free entry for children aged five and below and for Partition survivors. They also actively promote internships through an ongoing program.

2026 Update: The Partition Museum has been operating for over 70 years. The museum's first public consultation was held with over 1500 participants."
