It is protected monument which reflects on the black history of colonial India where we faced the atrocities of the British. This monument is strong example that the freedom we enjoy today didn't come by silent protest but by numerous sacrifices of our braveheart patriots. The newly developed museum gives good guide about Punjab's contribution in the freedom movement of India. Definitely a must visit place for all.

Historical place. Walkable distance from Golden Temple. Very well maintained from inside. This place is managed by the Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial Trust, the entry to the Jallianwala Bagh is free of charge. Sometimes authorities arrange laser shows as well in the evening. Worth visiting if you are in Amritsar.

A emotional historical place for all Indian. Every Indian should visit this place and pay tribute towards unarmed civilians died in brutal massacre. This place renovated to modern era two years back. You will see bullet marks on the wall. This place is free entry. It is near the Golden temple so both places can see and feel the environment.

Out of all forts I have visited in India, felt this place to have a very good balance of commercial activities to earn revenue and Also keeping the cultural heritage intact. Fort is very very clean, extremely well illuminated and kept in fantastic shape. Appreciate the management over this. Hoping to return again by end of year as the day I went , we could not enjoy the laser show as some concert was going on .

You Should visit the Gobindgarh fort when u visit amristar sahib. Gobindgarh fort reveal many pages of Golden period of Sikh kingdom, This fort hold many historical fact and things belongs to Sher- e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji..

The Attari-Wagah Border Ceremony is a daily military practice between India and Pakistan, held just before sunset. The event features energetic parades, high kicks, and synchronized movements by soldiers from both nations, symbolizing their rivalry and camaraderie. The ceremony lasts about 45 minutes and is free to attend. It’s advisable to arrive at least an hour early, as seating is on a first-come basis. Security is strict; avoid carrying bags and carry a valid ID. Foreign tourists may access a VIP section for better views. The ceremony offers a profound sense of patriotism and is a must-see experience. Yes, it’s best to reach the Attari-Wagah Border by 3 PM to secure front-row or nearest seats to the zero line. The ceremony starts around 4:30-5 PM (timing varies by season), and arriving early ensures a better view of the energetic parade and patriotic atmosphere. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, so early arrival is key to enjoying the experience up close.

An absolutely incredible experience! Attending the ceremony was the highlight of our entire trip. The energy and atmosphere were electrifying, leaving us with an overwhelming sense of pride and joy. The spirit of patriotism filled the air, creating an indescribable feeling of unity and happiness. It was truly a moment to cherish and one that left a lasting impression on our hearts.

The beating retreat ceremony is certainly impressive, but the experience is marred by the large crowds and little long waiting times. The facilities could also be improved. But the ceremony is impeccably managed, and the atmosphere is electric. A true nationalist's delight.
