JALLIANWALA BAGH
Since 1951
“Jallianwala Bagh is a historic garden and a 'memorial of national importance' located near the Golden Temple complex. It spans an impressive 26,000 square meters. The most famous site in the garden is the monument dedicated to the massacre victims. Jallianwala Bagh's original boundary walls have been preserved, with bullet marks circled in white paint and labeled as Bullet Marks. The site also features original items, including newspaper clippings and photocopies of various historical documents. Tour guides at Jallianwala Bagh tirelessly educate visitors about its historical significance. Visitors can still see the bullet marks on the walls, haunting reminders of General Dyer's tyranny. Entry to Jallianwala Bagh is free, and visitors can also enjoy the light show at no cost.”
