"Government Museum and Art Gallery is a unique cultural and historical resource, housing an extensive collection of Gandharan sculptures, Pahari paintings, and Rajasthani miniature art. It holds one of the largest collections of Gandharan artefacts in the world. Following the geographic division between India and Pakistan, the museum preserves cultural artefacts that were once shared heritage. Its library boasts over 11,000 books on art, architecture, and history. The museum showcases stone sculptures, miniature paintings, and modern art, along with a serene garden and an art gallery. Architectural highlights include a pivoted entrance with metal-panelled doors, built-in furniture, display systems, exposed concrete sculptures, and gargoyles.
