Ranking as the country's second-largest and one of its busiest railway stations, the museum offers visitors an impressive collection featuring 150-year-old steam locomotives, philately items, salon cars, carriages, and trains. Additionally, the museum showcases restored steam engines, electric locomotives, tracks, and signals, including notable artefacts such as India's first broad gauge electric locomotive (WCM-5), an HPS-32 steam locomotive captured during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, and the Indraprastha.
