“Salar Jung Museum stands among India's oldest National Museums, positioned on the southern bank of the Musi River. An audio guide system has been implemented to enhance public convenience. The museum found its current home, inaugurated by Dr. Zakir Hussain, President of India, in 1968. Regarded as one of the most comprehensive museums globally, it boasts an immense collection encompassing paintings, sculptures, and textiles. Its vast repository includes over 47,000 books, 43,000 pictures, and 9,000 holographs. The museum operates various sections such as the Education Wing, Chemical Conservation Laboratory, Photo section, Display section, Reception, and Sales counter. Adding to its outreach, the museum presents the Virtual Show Van, which imparts diverse themes and concepts, introducing antiques to schools and villages.
