Regional Science City serves as Lucknow's inaugural initiative to bring the joy of immersive science education to the community. The museum is dedicated to fostering scientific awareness and a scientific temperament among students and the public. It achieves this by extending formal science education and generating interest in science among the region's students. The Science Centre at Regional Science City features various galleries housing interactive, hands-on exhibits. With four permanent galleries in the Science Centre and three more on the Science City premises, visitors can explore various scientific concepts. The museum's natural surroundings create a relaxing environment, complemented by outdoor displays showcasing physical science facilities within the campus. A highlight of the Science City is the 3D theatre, where visitors can witness captivating shows on prehistoric life featuring trillion-year-old dinosaurs seemingly coming to life from the 3D screen. The museum offers an array of innovative creations to provide valuable knowledge to its visitors. One gallery takes visitors on a journey from human genes to the cracking of the genetic code, exploring biotechnological applications and emerging trends. The exhibits illustrate how biotechnology plays a role in everyday life, from the curd and honey people consume to the antibiotics used for treating ailments and the cereals that form their staple diet.

REGIONAL SCIENCE CITY REVIEWS
An awesome place for your young kids. It it really an amazing science science theme which is worth to visit. A lot of simple machines which are based on the principle of science are installed here. Visual photograph, infographic , video demonstration, so many mind baffling things .... are kept here. The park is very vast with lot of trees and greeneries. I strongly recommend to parents to visit this park with their children. Your children are really going to love it and they will also get interest in their studies...
Excellent place for growing up kids to connect them with marvels of science and technology. I hope governments should emphasise on developing more such places rather than just focusing on parks.
Such a nice place for kids to visit. Lots of science instruments with explanation in boards to explain basic science concepts.

State Museum in Uttar Pradesh is one of the oldest and largest multi-purpose museums, established in 1863. It showcases a diverse array of antiques and exhibits, making it a multifunctional institution with several galleries covering a wide spectrum from natural history items to objects from the Stone Age. Among its various galleries are the Jain Art Gallery and the Indian Sculpture Gallery. The State Museum's collection spans diverse acquisition areas, encompassing archaeology and art, sculptures, historical documents, numismatic coins, and anthropology. The museum boasts paintings dating back to 1593. Offering free entry for groups of school children, it houses objects from the prehistoric period and Bronze Age, plaster casts of famous figurines from the Indus Valley Civilisation, and an extensive collection of numismatics, paintings, manuscripts, and textiles. Originally established in 1863, the museum transformed in 1950 when it was renamed the 'State Museum.' The expanded collection necessitated better organisation and separate space, leading to its relocation to an independent building in Banarasibagh.

1857-Memorial Museum houses exhibits that bear significance to the First War of Independence events in 1857. The A-K galleries also feature diverse exhibits collected at different times. The museum's foundation serves as a testament to the Freedom Struggle, evidenced by the identifiable effects of the heavy shelling on both the exterior and internal structure. Within the 1857 Memorial Museum gallery, visitors can find lithographs drawn on the spot depicting the Residency complex buildings before and after the events of the Freedom Struggle in 1857. The museum actively organises heritage walks and tours under the auspices of the Archaeological Survey of India. 1857-MEMORIAL MUSEUM REVIEWS
This was the site of the British resident in the Nawab of Awadh or Oudh's Court at the time of the East India Company's rule over India. It was the site of a massive battle during India's first battle of independence in 1857 where a large number of native soldiers and national hero warriors such as Rani Laxmi Bai and countless other royals rose against the British East India company and for a period of time actually beat back the British from India till traitors and the divisions and bribes got the better of the movement and the British came back to enslave India for another 150yrs. However this site was left untouched after the battle and still bears bullet and cannon ball holes and was turned into a memorial for the British dead. One of these buildings has been converted to a museum containing various artifacts from the period including many historical artifacts and documents. There is also a audio visual show in the basement of the museum. Really makes you feel the history of the place and the pain and suffering and sacrifice made there. Must visit and privileged to have visited this place. A real window into the past.
The Museum is greatly protected by ASI.. At the center of the museum one can see the miniature of whole Residency & nearby spots that were present in 1800s at their exact location and in actual form that how they looked. Multiple old photos of Dil Kusha, Rumi Gate, La Martiniers, Alambagh etc can be seen. Many murals of Nawabs, Begum Hazrat Mahal, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Nana Sahab & Multiple British Officers can be seen along with the copies of Letters/telegraph shared b/w them as a chat after Sep.1857 can be seen here mentioning about the situation in control and casualties they had(both parties). Its neat and clean place, & pls do follow the instructions they tell you to keep the heritage alive. Keep it clean and avoid touching things because as i personally observed that many paintings and photographs/texts are diminishing.
British residency is a perfect place to visit during the evening after your long day trip in lucknow, it's a calm space. Great place for historical architecture enthusiasts!
