3 Best Museums in Pondicherry, PY

A very good Muesum in Pondicherry. This museum has all the collections of 12th Century. Well maintained. Photography is strictly prohibited inside this museum. It has a huge collection of ancient monuments and it is one of the main attraction for tourists.

The museum was one of a kind and had such great artefacts. Stuff like hand printing machine, typewriter from the old decades etc, they have it all here on display. Grandfather wall pendulum clock was one of the best. It's a treat to the eyes to be able to see the stuff people used in the old days.

A must place to visit to know the history. This place had lots of collections like coins, currencies, idols, granite stones etc.,

Incredible place for science geeks. Best part is it's interactive display of scientific explanatory. Everything in the museum is self explanatory. Goodness everything is in working conditions. The charge for per person is reasonable. The birth of universe is shown on a doom kind roof with an magnificent view. The place is out of town with an accessible road. It's better visit in the morning if you and your children are interested in science.

Informative place for students interested in science to visit. The Innovation center has microscopes with samples to view. The staff is cooperative to help. The chemistry lab has experiments to try for higher grade students.

My son is the student of this Innovation Hub. He is very much interested in science from the childhood. This Hub is helping him very much to attain his ambition. Thank you so much.

The Mahakavi Bharathiyar Memorial Museum, a Grade I heritage structure, is a synthesis of French colonial and traditional Tamil-style architecture. The façade is in vernacular architectural style with a 'thinnai' and a 'thazhvaram'. To-day it appears as an immortal memorial to the great poet. In a way it was a centre of deliberations aiming at attaining the freedom to the country. The house where the poet's kuyil once sounded its melody, has been acquired by the Govt. of Pondicherry in the year 1972. It is a very interesting place to visit. Here Mahakavi Bharathiar lived for ten years and wrote many of his best poems here. Many people does not know the place. So it is very peaceful to visit no disturbances. Here lived to remain unknown by the British people. The place is slightly extended to show his specialities. Must visit if you go to Pondicherry. It near the Rock beach.

Well maintained bharathiar's poetry and books where he lived for few years. Everyone should visit atleast once and know who he struggled and his written poet's. Government is maintained nicely and there is one person who looks is good, she explains well and very polite.

This place is rich in history. The information plaques are also detailed enough. The govt should set up tours and guided programs, possibly an AV center where they can screen short documentaries on Mahakavi Bharati. It's well maintained though.
