“Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum is one of Raipur's top museums. The Museum was constructed in 1875 by Raja Ghasidas. The Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum is located on Raj Bhawan Road in the capital city of Raipur. Originally a two-story building, it was restored in 1953 by Queen Jyoti Devi and her son Digvijay Das. Adorned with life sculptures and enchanting gardens, the Museum displays anthropological and natural history artefacts, such as pottery and sculptures. This unique repository also features an impressive assortment of weaponry, rare coins, inscriptions, paintings, and sculptures, with its art gallery adding to its allure. An extensive assortment of antiquities, including ancient coins, weaponry, sculptures, inscriptions, carvings, and artefacts utilised by local tribes like those in Bastar. Additionally, the museum accommodates a natural history and folk art section where regular workshops are conducted for artisans and the general public. Among the notable artefacts are the coins, inscriptions, and copper carts of the Nalvanshi and Sharbhupri rulers, damaged mudras and records of the Kalchuriyen kings from Sirpur and Sisdeori.
