“Maharaja Fatesingh Museum houses a remarkable collection of art objects from the princely state of Baroda, assembled by the late Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III. The museum features European sculptures and paintings, including copies of renowned Italian Renaissance masterpieces and original works from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It collection of paintings by both European and Indian artists, notably the works of Raja Ravi Varma, who was specially commissioned by the then Maharaja of Baroda. The museum also has an Oriental gallery displaying Japanese and Chinese sculptures and other artefacts collected by the Maharaja during his visits to these countries. The building is a nice looking, colonial days structure. It is clean and well maintained. There's a lot to see and admire! Beautiful stone carvings, paintings, artifacts, natural history, royalty, etc. Sadly, no photography is permitted inside the building. The staff is helpful, available and alert in all galleries. Certainly worth a visit!

Visited the baroda museum and art gallery last month as per my experience it is a must visit place not only for educational purpose but to gain ur knowledge about history in an interesting yet captivating way . The closing time for museum is around 5pm and u can buy the tickets from the ticket counter it costs 250 INR for Indian citizens and 500 for foreigners . If u are looking for a experience filled with amaze and precious artefacts then its a must visit place where u can found not only indian heritage but the get to know the culture from around the world.

Baroda Museum is a treasure trove of art, history, and culture! The museum's collection is impressive, with a vast array of artifacts, sculptures, and paintings. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The museum's architecture and gardens are also noteworthy. A must-visit attraction in Vadodara!

MAHARAJA FATESINGH MUSEUM REVIEWS

This is a great experience, takes around hour and half; the paintings of Raja Ravi Varma are awesome, many paintings depicting the portraits of the family members, statues and porcelains and a lot more. The marble statues of Amazing, the intricate carvings, the ornaments on the statues ; the carpet everything has been carved amazingly well.. you sometime think how they could do it in those times. The expressions are priceless. Go for it - it’s is good. You are not allowed to take pictures and you need to deposit your mobile at the time of entry, but it is worth the experience.

The Fatesingh Museum, also known as the Maharaja Fatesingh Museum, is a popular tourist destination located in the city of Vadodara in Gujarat, India. It was established in 1894 in the beautiful Lakshmi Vilas Palace, which was the residence of the Maharaja of Baroda. The museum has a rich collection of art, sculptures, and artifacts from various parts of India and around the world. A good place to spend some time, they have some good maratha painting collections and you might learn some of the Gaekwad family history.

Nicely maintained by West Railway in small area. It is good for children to know about journey of meter gauge railway and its history.One should come to watch the museum.

It's great museum.. There are lots of information and demo also train.. It's good I give its 4.5 star rating.
