Maharaja Fatesingh Museum houses a remarkable collection of art objects from the princely state of Baroda, assembled by the late Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III. The museum features European sculptures and paintings, including copies of renowned Italian Renaissance masterpieces and original works from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It collection of paintings by both European and Indian artists, notably the works of Raja Ravi Varma, who was specially commissioned by the then Maharaja of Baroda. The museum also has an Oriental gallery displaying Japanese and Chinese sculptures and other artefacts collected by the Maharaja during his visits to these countries. Additionally, exhibitions are regularly organised to attract visitors from around the world.
