Sayaji Baug Zoo is a significant garden spanning over 100 acres, situated on both sides of the Vishwamitri River and established in 1879. This expansive zoo showcases 167 types of 1,103 animals in various sizes and shapes. Its main attraction is the Asiatic lions, complemented by various birds. The zoo also boasts an aquarium housing forty-five fish species. One of Sayaji Baug's highlights is a floral clock displaying hours, minutes, and seconds. The zoo is divided into three sections: the Bird Section, the Bear Section (Rinchh Khana), and the Tiger Section. Operated by machines using underground mechanisms to create a natural ambiance, the zoo has a state-of-the-art hospital equipped with modern facilities and experienced doctors to ensure the well-being of the animals. The hospital is stocked with medicines. Functioning as the city's green lungs, Sayaji Baug Zoo plays a crucial role in conservation efforts. It includes a breeding program for lesser-known animals that have disappeared in the wild, contributing to preserving the region's splendid wildlife heritage.

SAYAJI BAUG ZOO REVIEWS
This was a marvelous place to visit! The gardens are well maintained. The animals are well cared for. The guards and staff were friendly and helpful. It's a huge area within splendid greenery. There were hundreds of squirrels and birds roaming around freely, without fear of humans. There's a toy train and electric cabs in it too. The Walk-In Aviary was probably the best I've ever seen yet. Birds would be at one's hand's reach literally. There's a bridge spanning across a small river, which has crocodiles in their natural habitats. Such a wholesome experience. I would definitely visit this place again and again, every time I come to Vadodara.
My second visit to Sayaji Baug zoo after 5 years. It has been overhauled and made completely new but charm remains the same. New aviary section is full of exotic birds. Animal sections are expanded. Nice place to have family picnic and there is famous small train running around the park. Its great addition to Baroda city. Nice joyous place for kids and family.
Sayaji Baug has a wonderful garden and fountain. Excellent place for a walk with family. Baug has a museum and zoo inside it. A good pedestrian is built for walking. The toy train is running inside which is an attraction for kids. Other activities are also available for a good time with family.

LUKSHMI VILLAS PALACE REVIEWS
Historic place. Since its private property and a private residency of the royal family, most parts of the palace, esp, only ground floors open for public and rest, are out of bounds. They have made good audio track to listen to while we roam in the palace. Interesting and helpful. They must try to keep it more preserved thout it must be very costly for them. Anyways a very nice place and must visit.
Laxmi Vilas Palace, a mesmerizing architectural marvel in Vadodara, India, is a testament to opulence and grandeur. This majestic residence turned museum invites visitors into a world of royal splendor, showcasing a fusion of Indo-Saracenic and European styles. The sprawling grounds, ornate interiors, and extensive collection of artifacts provide a captivating glimpse into India's regal history. A must-visit for anyone enamored by heritage, art, and architectural brilliance. Would highly recommend for students interested in history or have interest in visiting museums.
Majestic palace and one of the most beautiful ones indeed! It is very well maintained and you need to buy a ticket if you want a tour of the palace from the inside. Audio tour is also available. Photography is prohibited inside the palace. You can click from the outside. It's a must visit place if you are in Baroda because it tells us about the rich heritage here!
