"Dr. Giridhar A finished his MBBS, DO (Ophthalmology), and MS (Ophthalmology) at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry. He obtained specialised training with a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery from the C.U. Shah Ophthalmic Postgraduate Training Centre, Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, and a short-term fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases from the University of Wisconsin, USA. He is affiliated with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the All India Ophthalmological Society, the Vitreo Retinal Society of India, the Uveitis Society of India, and state ophthalmology societies in Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. He is also a member of the Asia Pacific Vitreo Retinal Society and the Rotary Club of Cochin. Dr. Giridhar has a clinical focus that lies in vitreoretinal surgery, with a special interest in managing diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Giridhar A is the Medical Director and Chief Mentor of the Giridhar Eye Institute.
