He has four International and one National publication. He has made Surgical presentations at ASRS, San Diego, ASRS Vienna, and EuRetina London. 2026 Update: Dr. Somnath Chakraborty has over 10 years of experience in Vitreo-Retina. His Long-term fellowship in Vitreo-retina from Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai (2005-2007). After finishing his fellowship, he joined the Retina clinic of Aravind, Madurai, as an Associate Professor (2007). He won the Satya Hazra Best Paper in Community Ophthalmology in 2021 for the pioneering work on ROP screening in Government-run SNCUs of Alipurduar district. He has conducted multiple training workshops on Diabetic Retinopathy management, vitreoretina surgical techniques, Anti-VGF injections, and ROP screening and treatment for ophthalmologists, pediatricians, post-graduate students at the level of SAARC, AIOC, OSWB, and North Bengal."
