“Prof. Dr. Saibal Moitra completed his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi, with distinction in 1997. He then completed his Doctor of Medicine in Respiratory Medicine from Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, University of Delhi, in 2001. After that, he completed his advanced training at the University of London, where he started his work in the field of respiratory allergy. Dr. Saibal became a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and the Indian College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is a member of the European Respiratory Society, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Prof. Dr. Saibal Moitra is also an Adjunct Professor and Senior Consultant in the department of Allergy & Immunology at Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata. He specialises in managing bronchial asthma and obstructive pulmonary diseases. He is involved in research involving asthma in children. He has more than 50 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and has written chapters of several books.
