The temple's East-facing coloured Gopuram includes Idols of Shiva, Parvati, Ganesha, Murugan, Vishvamithrar, and Nandhi Bhagawans. Devotees climb 3 to 4 steps to reach the multi-pillared Mandapam situated before Moolastanam. Shri Vishwamitra Temple's Ambal, known as Sri Akilandeshwari Ambal, has a separate entrance. The temple offers a massive car parking space capacity of a hundred. Shri Vishwamitra Temple has a Madapalli or a Temple Kitchen, and the premises have been neatly cemented with granite stones.”

One of the oldest temples belongs to lord Shiva, a very big temple and big pillars are here with beautiful and unique sculptures and music pillars also there just mind blowing..Nallvar temple is situated beside the main gopuram and the temple is well maintained and a must visit one..

Architectural marvel. i will never get bored to visit this temple. one whole day, 24 hours wont be enough to go through the sculptures. Awesome and awesome. I especially loved the big Lord Ganapathy!

Best spiritual place. Go and shower with Gandhi Madhi's Arul. Definitely it will give peace and the architecture was very good.

One of the ancient temple in the Tirunelveli city in olden days the place is called verapuram (veeraragavapuram) in the name of the temple god (moolavar). Chakrathalvar in the temple is powerful.

Ancient temple. Interesting story on how this god helped a king win over enemies in war. The deity Grant's success to all those who worship him.

Nice devotional place.superb...architecture was super good and the temple is 6000 years old.

Great Temple. This Place has a Lot of History. At least once in your Life Time we have to Visit this Temple and Get his Blessings. Vishwamitra has Meditated in this Place. People Believe Vishwamitra is still Visiting Lord Shiva in this Temple. This is the Place which Gave Victory to Rishi Vishwamitra to become Brahma Rishi.

Beautiful temple located remotely. It is said that the famous saint Vishwamithrar worshipped the Lord Shiva and Matha Parvathi here. Worth converting this visit into an adventure trip. There was also a brook located adjacent to the temple.

60Km from Thiruchendur. Visited for my Long Term Family issues and Property Issues. Lot of good Vibration around the Temple. Try to buy Pooja Items needed for the place you Travel. As there is no Shops nearby
