“Gwalior Fort is an architectural marvel in the city of Gwalior. The Fort was constructed in the 8th century. Gwalior Fort has served as the ruling centre for numerous kingdoms over the years and has evolved into an archaeological site. Within the fort, two significant palaces is out Man Mandir and Gurjari Mahal. Additionally, the fort houses eleven temples dedicated to Gautama Buddha and the Tirthankaras of the Jain religion. The palace's interior is characterised by two open courtyards with rooms, elegant walls, and balustrades designed in various styles. With a history spanning two distinct periods, this architectural wonder is intricately linked to the past. To restore its former glory, the fort's external walls have been rebuilt, and the internal courts showcase extensive stone carvings. Having changed hands between multiple dynasties over the years, Gwalior Fort carries a rich and diverse history.
