The fort's architecture combines Mughal and Hindu styles, and it is built with red sandstone and marble. Visitors can watch and walk through with its high ramparts, many gates, paved paths and spectacular views. The fort's main complex has Diwan-l-Aam, a hall meant tor public, Diwan-l-K a hall for a private audience, the splendid Sheesh Mahal or the Mirror Palace Jai Mandir and the Sukh Niwas. Even if a single candle is lit inside the Sheesh Mahal, it reflects the thousands of mirrors in it.

Hawa Mahal was built in 1799 A.D by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Hawa Mahal is the tallest building in the world without foundation. It is the most iconic landmark, and it is famous for its pink latticed windows and balconies that give the town below a spectacular view. The wind blew through the windows will always keep the palace cool. There are 953 elegant sandstone windows in the palace, from which the royal women used to see the city's processions. The palace is formed of Mughal and Rajput architectural styles and is constructed with pink and red sandstone.
