AMER FORT REVIEWS
Amber Fort is a breathtaking historical place. This fort is made by sand stone and white marble and extraordinary handcraft of great people from the past. Elephants riding is amazing too. It looked majestic, almost made me feel like traveling back in time to Mughal period. If you read a bit about history of this place, you will enjoy this place even more.
Beautiful place. Walk up as the path is not difficult & it is not good to use elephants or necessary to get expensive jeep. We took an audio guide which was fine for us & gave us the freedom to wander. Highly recommend.
Fantastic place with so much history. Make sure to get a guide (400 or so rupees) to really learn what this beautiful place was all about. Massive palace sitting on the mountain in the middle of a jungle. Such a wonder how these structures were built so long ago and are still standing so sturdy today. The sun and water palace is amazing.

Hawa Mahal was constructed in 1799 A.D by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh and is the world's tallest building without a foundation. This iconic landmark is renowned for its pink latticed windows and balconies, offering a stunning view of the town below. The clever design allows the wind to flow through the windows, ensuring a consistently cool interior. Featuring 953 elegant sandstone windows, the palace served as a vantage point for royal women to observe city processions. Combining Mughal and Rajput architectural styles, the five-story palace is crafted from pink and red sandstone. Shaped like Krishna's crown in devotion to the Hindu god, the palace's upkeep is overseen by the archaeological department of the Government of Rajasthan. Visitors can marvel at the stone-carved screens, small casements, and arched roofs, making Hawa Mahal one of the top attractions in Jaipur. Its uniqueness lies in the architectural marvel of 953 windows, contributing to its timeless allure for travellers.
