JASWANT THADA
Since 1899
Jaswant Thada is a cenotaph in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. The Jaswant Thada mausoleum in Jodhpur, often known as the Taj Mahal of Mewar, is Rajasthan's marble beauty. The place was erected in 1899 by Maharaja Sardar Singh of Jodhpur State in remembrance of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, and serves as the royal Rajput family of Marwar's cremation cemetery. Jaswant Thada, made of pure white marble and retains all of its appeal, also contains some artwork of Mewar's earlier emperors. The major monument, Jaswant Thada, is a stunning sight set among lush flora and contrasting colours in the sunlight. The memorials built inside the monument are beautifully decorated with some elaborate artwork and give a history.
