Beautiful zoo with well trained staff to take care of exotic animals and birds. Kids and students will love the place, it was well organised with so many animals and birds to look for. Good for zoology students. Amazing experience, would recommend everyone with kid's not to miss this zoo. Its beautiful. They have inside premises a restaurant named, Scoop, staff well trained and food is good too. Lots of small food stalls are there. Overall had good time.
Alipur Zoological Garden offers a delightful experience for animal enthusiasts. With a variety of creatures from lions to colorful birds, the zoo provides an educational and entertaining visit for families. The well-maintained enclosures ensure a comfortable habitat for the animals, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility. Visitors can learn about different species through informative placards, adding an educational touch to the outing. The park's layout allows for a leisurely stroll, creating a relaxed atmosphere. While the zoo may benefit from occasional updates, it remains a charming destination for those seeking a day of wildlife exploration in a serene setting.
It was a fun place, a good place to go for educational trips and the animals are back in shape again and the nocturnal house is very wonderful and the kangaroo although a bit shy is very beautiful, I heard it was recently brought to the zoo. I saw more enclosures being built. Excited to see what is coming in the future.

Howrah Bridge is a cantilever bridge located in West Bengal, India. The Bridge features a suspended span across the Hooghly River, replacing a pontoon bridge that previously connected both Howrah and Kolkata cities. Upon its completion, it ranked as the 6th longest cantilever bridge of its kind globally. With approximately 100,000 cars and potentially more than 150,000 pedestrians traversing it, it unquestionably is the busiest cantilever bridge worldwide. Howrah Bridge is one of the four renowned bridges spanning the Hooghly River and has evolved into an emblematic symbol of the cities it connects. Its main tower was constructed using single monolith caissons, with all work carried out below ground level. Foundation work concluded by 1938, and by the mid-summer of 1941, the cantilevered arms were erected. Each half of the suspended span weighs 2000 tonnes and measures 282 feet in length.

HOWRAH BRIDGE REVIEWS
Howrah Bridge is a major attraction in Kolkata. It is near Howrah Railway Station, just in front of it. The bridge is also known as vidyasagar setu and connects two banks of Hooghly River. It is one of the oldest and a huge Cantilever bridge without any pillars to support. The bridge is entirely made up of iron steel and undergoes maintenance every year to prevent corrosion. It was built during the British era in such a way to allow ships to pass beneath it. The unique design of the bridge makes it a tourist attraction. It is a two lane bridge and also allows large vehicles to pass through. However the maintenance is not up to the mark and people are destroying it by spitting gutka juice.
It's the most beautiful attraction of the city and one must spend sunrise and sunset on the bridge. The most important fact about the bridge is that there is no nut or bolt. Also, enjoy the scenic view from the ferry. One of the main attractions of Kolkata over the Hooghly river. What an amazing place to visit. This bridge is always busy, so many people, cars, tuktuks, carts, going to and fro on it. It was such a great feeling walking on it, and experiencing this.
Amazing structure! A must-visit. Hundreds walk on the bridge in the evening. From above, you see the river, the cruise, the vibrant markets, and vendors selling vegetables and whatnot. Truly incredible India!

James Prinsep Ghat is one of Kolkata's oldest recreational destinations. The Ghat was constructed in 1841 along the Kolkata bank of the Hooghly River in West Bengal. The Prinsep monument adorning the ghat is adorned with Greek and Gothic inscriptions, adding to its historical significance. Renovated by the Kolkata Public Works Department in 2001, the ghat has been meticulously maintained. Historically, the jetty at this ghat was utilised by British royals for embarkation and disembarkation. Visitors to the ghat enjoy activities such as boating on the river, strolling along the bank, and sampling food from stalls. Prinsep Ghat remains a cherished and enduring recreational spot in Kolkata.

JAMES PRINSEP GHAT REVIEWS
Princep Ghat is one of the most popular places in Kolkata and the history of British India is associated with it, You will find a white monument on this ghat this monument was built in the memory of the world’s famous Historian and scholar James Prinsep after his death in 1841 and it is surrounded by a beautiful garden, Princep ghat on the banks of the Hooghly River is very popular among the people of Kolkata. Many people come here to know the history of the place and many people come here to feel in the beautiful scenic environment, and also some people come here for a picnic with their family, Princep Ghat is one of the oldest and most historical spots in Kolkata. Princep Ghat is located between the Water Gate and St. George’s Gate of Fort William beside the Hooghly River. The monument is one of the finest examples of colonial architecture in Kolkata. It might seem that Princep Ghat was not a proper ghat as it is located some distance away from the river. But earlier, there were some stone steps leading to the river. With time, the river has receded and the stone stairs are perhaps buried under the earth. Overall my experience is mesmerizing & beautiful spot to spend time with family & friends. It's totally free no entry fee required. Best time to visit during winter days & during the sunset time.
Great place. If the weather is right you are going to enjoy this place a lot. The second Hooghly bridge with the Ganges flowing below is a killer combination. You can also enjoy a boat ride here.
Wonderful place! Perfect place to spend evening. Good location for photography & pre-wedding shoot.
