"Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park provides a natural habitat for wild animals to live in peace and harmony with nature. Also known as Bhagwan Birsa Zoo, it is located on both sides of National Highway 33, about 20 km from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. One of India's most stunning and modern zoos, it spans 104 hectares of gently undulating terrain, featuring natural dry deciduous Sal forests and water bodies. Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park inhabitants live in open, broad-moated areas surrounded by natural vegetation, ensuring a naturalistic environment. The park also rehabilitates orphaned, injured, stray, and sick animals rescued from the wild, circuses, and derecognised zoos. It offers free entry for differently-abled individuals and children below three years.

2026 Update: Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park receives 8 lakhs visitors annually. The zoo is the house of 1,450 wild animals and 83 different species of reptiles, mammals and birds. The Park features 58 fish tanks of different sizes and nearly 120 varieties of fish."

TAGORE HILL REVIEWS

Ranchi's most popular tourist spot for adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers. The Tagore Hill offers a panoramic view of the entire city and the small hills that are scattered throughout Ranchi. There is no entry fee required. To reach the top, you need to trek for around 10 to 15 minutes. Once you get to the summit you can sit there under the shaded shelter and enjoy the cool breeze and some breathtaking views. However, be careful not to go near the edges of the cliffs, as there are no railings at many places & during rainy season the rocks are extremely slippery. Recommended to visit.

Very scenic and peaceful place. From top you can see how our city looks like it's beautiful. No entry charges only vehicle parking charge. Its a must visit place in ranchi.

Full Nature Scenery 300 feet high. If U feel upset in your life then definitely go. The whole city is view from here. It is only 7km away from RNC Railways station. I recommend all my family & friends. There is no ticket for this place.

BHAGWAN BIRSA BIOLOGICAL PARK REVIEWS

The zoo felt great. There were large variety of birds and animals. So if you are traveling with elderly people I would recommend taking e-taxis which can be booked at reasonable prices once you enter the park. Although during my visit there were only 3-4 e-taxis, so it may not be available for everyone all the time and you may need to wait for 1-2 hours for it to be available. The total travel by foot is about 2-3 km so plan accordingly. I will suggest visiting zoo during winters as it won't be too hot while travelling and animals come out for the sunlight. There were plenty of spots for sitting throughout the zoo with availability of drinking water and public restrooms. Although I would prefer taking your own water bottles. Overall the experience was great. Definitely recommend going there with family.

It’s a nice place to bring kids and family for some fun and adventure. Many kind of birds, snake , cats and many other wild animals like lion, leopard, panther, beer , deer, Sahil, hippopotamus are there. Advices are bring some snacks items and water for kids. Drinking water , toilets and many other amenities are available within the campus. It’s feel like animals in forest.

Amazing experience. I recommend everyone to visit this zoo many times. All kinds of animals in good condition are kept there. Additionally, there is also lot of forest trees, lake and the ambience is very calming. Best zoo I have ever visited.

It's very good, with reasonable cost. I am Visiting there every week, but see very few visitors. Please visit this place, it's full of games and rides most are free of cost.

It's awesome place. Actually various types of fishes are there. Added advantage is a small amusement park is attached for children and remote controlled car also available for children.

It is basically for kids. Area is little bit narrow. But you can enjoy with your family to see different types of fishes. You can do jumping (only for kids)and do lots of enjoyment.
