"Government Hamidiya Arts & Commerce Degree College Bhopal was established in 1946 by Nawab Hamidullah Khan, ruler of the erstwhile Bhopal state. The college has 2,589 students and employs 68 teaching staff members, along with 37 non-teaching staff. The college was granted a B grade by NAAC in the year 2014. They aim to help prepare outstanding educators of tomorrow through service and patriotism. They were elevated to research centre status in the arts, languages, social sciences and commerce streams for PhD and D.Litt. Their vision is to teach students values of equality, unity and justice to become conscious of their duty to society and the country. In addition, they aim to provide leadership and inspiration to develop the most exemplary educational leaders by supporting quality research and development activities. 2026 Update: The library has a total of 127,178 books and 18 computers for student use. The E-Library started on 19/08/2019. Additionally, the library subscribes to 13 newspapers daily and 12 magazines each month."
