“Maulana Azad Central Library is an architectural masterpiece built in the early 20th century. The library was originally constructed as a museum by Sultan Jahan Begum of Bhopal in 1908. They have a collection of over 100,000 books in multiple languages, including Hindi, Urdu, English, Sanskrit, and Persian, and offer a unique selection of antique and vintage books. The library also houses rare national and international reports and case studies. Maulana Azad Central Library serves as a hub for students preparing for competitive exams and hosts seminars and interactive sessions with IAS officers and former officials. The library has more than 10,000 members and occupies a 5.33-acre site with an old building, a seminar hall, a reading section, two additional halls, and a playground. Maulana Azad Central Library has been digitalised with an RFID system, allowing members to easily issue and return books. The library has become a biodiversity-rich zone, with native trees and plants supporting various animal species.”
