"Maulana Azad Central Library is an architectural masterpiece built in the early 20th century. The library was originally constructed as a museum by Sultan Jahan Begum of Bhopal in 1908. They have a collection of over 100,000 books in multiple languages, including Hindi, Urdu, English, Sanskrit, and Persian, and offer a unique selection of antique and vintage books. The library also houses rare national and international reports and case studies. Maulana Azad Central Library serves as a hub for students preparing for competitive exams and hosts seminars and interactive sessions with IAS officers and former officials. The library has more than 9,000 members.

2026 Update: Maulana Azad Central Library has three main reading halls that accommodate approximately 600 students who visit daily to prepare for competitive examinations. Nearly 20,000 books in the collection are related to competitive examinations. The library has developed 32 cabin-style study rooms to provide individual study spaces. Maulana Azad Central Library regularly organises seminars, interactive sessions, and workshops to engage the academic community."
