The college has an enrollment of approximately 2,700 students in its 6 undergraduate, 4 postgraduate, and 3 PhD research centres. 2026 Update: Pillai College of Engineering (PCE) offers a comprehensive academic environment equipped with advanced infrastructure to support learning, research, and innovation. The fully automated PCE Library houses over 26,273 books, accessible via public OPAC and Rack Index, with features like book tracking, due date notifications, email alerts, digital library access, and a Student In-Out Counter for visitor monitoring. All classrooms have projectors and Wi-Fi, with seven smart classrooms featuring interactive smart boards, and the E-Learning Studio allows faculty to create digital learning content for students and the wider community. PCE also hosts multiple Centers of Excellence, including the Urban Expansion Observatory for GIS and remote sensing, a Maker Studio for student projects and inventions, a Drone Lab for designing and building drones, and a consulting center for industry-oriented projects, providing students with practical exposure, research opportunities, and hands-on learning in a technologically advanced environment."
