2026 Update: The Computer Services Center at National Institute of Technology Srinagar serves as the technological backbone of the campus, delivering comprehensive IT support and advanced research facilities to students, faculty, researchers, and industry collaborators. The center ensures seamless computing experiences through services such as system maintenance, network management, software installation, cybersecurity support, and user assistance, while continuously upgrading infrastructure to maintain efficiency and security. Complementing this, the Central Research Facility Centre (CRFC), operational since 2012, stands as one of the premier multi-scale and multi-dimensional research hubs in Jammu and Kashmir, offering state-of-the-art equipment including Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (Zeiss Gemini500), Energy Dispersive Spectrometer (Ametek), Multi Target Sputtering System (Moorfield Nanotechnology), WDXRF, SmartLab X-Ray Diffractometer (Rigaku), Raman Spectroscope (Renishaw), Nanomechanical System (Hysitron TI Premier), Litesizer 500 Particle Analyzer, MCR 102 Rheometer, Planetary Mill Pulverisette 5, TGA/DSC, CHNS Analyzer, Flash Point Tester, 3-Axis Laser Surface Texturing System (Markolaser), and an advanced Earthquake Research Shake Table facility Shake Table facility, with Atomic Force Microscope, EBSD, and High & Cryo Temperature Vacuum Systems currently under procurement. The institute further strengthens academic and research excellence through its Learning and Information Resource Centre (LIRC), which integrates modern library technologies such as Koha open-source library management software, RFID-enabled automated check-in/check-out kiosks, OPAC systems, Linux and Windows server environments."
