“Government Medical College, commonly called GMC Srinagar, was established in 1959 and duly approved. The college is affiliated with the University of Kashmir and recognised by the NATIONAL MEDICAL COMMISSION (NMC). The yearly intake capacity for MBBS is 180, MD/MS 264, DNB and DrNB 39 and post MBBS Diplomas 3. The institute provides a 15% reservation for MBBS admissions to students from other states and Union territories and a 50% reservation for PG courses.
