"Government Medical College Srinagar is affiliated with the University of Kashmir and recognised by the NATIONAL MEDICAL COMMISSION (NMC). The yearly intake capacity for MBBS is 180, MD/MS 264, DNB and DrNB 39 and post MBBS Diplomas 3. The institute provides a 15% reservation for MBBS admissions to students from other states and Union territories and a 50% reservation for PG courses. The Institute provides 50% reservation for female students for the MBBS course. The College provides hostel facilities to undergraduate and postgraduate students. There are 22 broad specialties and 16 super specialities. The doctors, surgeons, and medical technologists produced by GMC Srinagar have garnered global acclaim for their exceptional skills, unwavering dedication, and remarkable service.
