“Sikh Reference Library houses an extensive collection of approximately 24,540 literary works, including over 11,107 books, 2,500 manuscripts, and 550 Guru Granth Sahib manuscripts. Their collection also contains 75 Dasam Granth manuscripts, 1,300 general manuscripts, and rare handwritten edicts signed by Sikh Gurus, although these were not recovered after the library's restoration. The library primarily holds works related to Sikhism in Punjabi, with additional materials in Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Sindhi, Persian, and Arabic. The restoration of the library was made possible through community, institutional, and individual donations, enabling it to recover and rebuild its collection. Sikh Reference Library is dedicated to preserving its rare and valuable resources. To safeguard its collection for future generations, the library has been digitising their materials, with approximately 4,000 works fully digitised.”
