“Sikh Reference Library has an extensive collection of approximately 24,540 literary works, including an impressive 12,000+ books, 2,500 manuscripts, and 550 Guru Granth Sahib manuscripts. The collection also features 75 Dasam Granth manuscripts, 1,300 general manuscripts, and rare handwritten edicts signed by Sikh Gurus, though the latter were not recovered after the library's restoration. The library has many works related to Sikhism, primarily in Punjabi, with additional materials available in Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Sindhi, Persian, and Arabic. The library was restored with the help of community, institutional, and individual donations, allowing it to recover and rebuild its collection. Sikh Reference Library is committed to preserving its rare and valuable resources. The library has been digitising its collection to preserve it for future generations, and about 4,000 works have been fully digitised.”
