"Guru Nanak Dev University was founded by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The institute has accredited the University in the 4th cycle with a CGPA of 3.85 out of a 4-point scale at “A++” the highest level grade. They have 45 teaching departments at the Campus, two regional campuses and 170 affiliated, university and constituent colleges, many of which are located in rural areas to make quality higher education accessible to the rural masses. They have more than 20,000 students, an overwhelming majority of them being women, and are registered in various Departments at the University Campus. They organise an industrial visit, lectures by corporate professionals, summer training, project work, campus interviews, and placements. They also motivate their students to involve themselves in multiple activities of their interest other than routine classroom teaching. Guru Nanak Dev University has centralised placements and offers internships and industrial training.

2026 Update: The College Library is a member of the ONOS (One Nation One Subscription) initiative of the Government of India and provides IP-based access to more than 13,000 national and international electronic journals. It also holds DELNET membership, enabling inter-library loan services for obtaining books and articles from other libraries."
