"Regional Science Centre features a fossil park with exhibits dating back centuries and offers a wide range of attractions for visitors. It is one of Assam's most popular tourist destinations. Visitors can explore and enjoy 3D movies, and experience various indoor and outdoor exhibits, including a magic mirror, butterfly corner, kids' corner, and fun science activities. The Centre also has an air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of over 150. Free entry is provided for children below three years, physically challenged individuals, and police/military personnel. The Centre aims to offer an engaging and educational experience in science.

2026 Update: Regional Science Centre's in-house library has more than 10,000 books and journals for internal use, and their open garden space is utilised for picnicking, open cooking and dining."
