The maintained special place for aviary for parrots and other species of birds which is a pretty rare scene which will also give you a glimpse of wilderness. there are decent food stall stalls at few locations inside the zoo which will help you to run your foot without much strain. Also buggies are available which are useful for elderly folks .. Overall a must visit place if you love animals and can easily kill a few hours looking at these beautiful animals.

Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Khetra is the final resting place of the legendary "Sudhakantha" Dr. Bhupen Hazarika who was a playback singer, lyricist, poet, musician, filmmaker and balladeer who is widely admired not only in native Assam but across the country. He passed away on the 5th of November, 2011. It is located in Jalukbari, Guwahati, just beside the Gauhati University. It is a memorial site that celebrates his life and works. There's a museum in his remembrance, which we couldn't enter as it was closed that day, Speakers all around the place play his melodies all the time. There's no ticket system, you just need to sign on a register during your entry. Beautifully maintained. Definitely worth a visit.

However, it’s advisable to check the show timings in advance, as they can vary, especially during weekends and holidays

The planetarium was nice. The English shows were at 12 and 4. The staff was nice, the seats were comfortable and the projector was good quality. It's a shame the film they show is a little outdated. I hope to come back when the film is updated.
