I recently visited the zoo, and it exceeded my expectations. The diverse range of animals, from majestic lions to playful otters, captivated my attention. Well-maintained habitats provide a comfortable environment for each species. Clean facilities and ample amenities made the visit enjoyable for all ages(like battery operated vehicles, drinking water, toilets etc). Overall, it a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and families alike.
Good place to visit in weekend and weekdays too.. can go with children.. children will enjoy very much.. so many kind of animals, reptiles and birds are there. Also different kind of plants will be seen there.. tiger, leopard, lions, deer, fox, crocodile, bear, chimpanzee, venomous and non-venomous snakes, cocktail, parrot, peacock and different birds are there..

It's basically a monument in loving memory of Dr Bhupen Hazarika, a renowned singer and personality in Assam. A place of worth if you like his life and creation. There is a good number of photographs showing different phases of life of Dr Hazarika.

The Guwahati planetarium is an important center for scientific research and astronomical studies. The primary aim of the Guwahati Planetarium is to reach the young minds inquisitive about science and universe and provide them with the requisite knowledge regarding the universe and astronomy. The planetarium organizes and conducts different programmes in an effort to educate the students and people about the universe and the mysteries it beholds. The Guwahati Planetarium witnesses an average footfall of 500 per day. The Planetarium hosts daily shows in English, Hindi and Assamese (regional language) at different timings. Workshops, seminars, and conferences for students and children are also organized by the planetarium from time to time. Many students from different institutions gather here at the planetarium for educational trips and to gain knowledge regarding astronomy and research. Shows are also conducted for astronomy fraternity, exhibitions and quizzes for students and local people. The Planetarium puts out telescopes and astronomical devices during eclipses, for the public to view them. Experts conduct regular sky watching sessions at the planetarium. Special shows are also projected on a dome shaped overhead screen at the planetarium in English, Hindi and Assamese language. There is also a library facility available in the planetarium.
