“Bapu Museum is an archaeological museum located on M. G. Road in Vijayawada formerly known as the Victoria Jubilee Museum. The Museum is a must-visit destination for those interested in historical and prehistoric objects in Vijayawada. The museum houses a collection of Gandhiji's oldest belongings and other memorable items. Additionally, it features a granite statue of Buddha and a white calcareous figure of Buddha in a standing position. Maintained by the Department of Archaeology, the museum showcases large sculptures, paintings, and artefacts from Buddhist and Hindu monuments, some dating back to the 2nd and 3rd centuries. Using 3D projection, the museum highlights significant historical events in the city's history. Its carefully preserved exhibits, ranging from sculptures to paintings, attract visitors with their unique collections. Admission to the museum is free. The building's architectural style is Indo-European and is over a hundred years old.
