Our ancient ancestors created the Lord Madhanna Swamy Lingam in the Akkanna Madanna Caves. This cave is made up of a mandapa, a monolithic rock-cut hall, and cave sanctums located deep within the rock. They are made up of the lower cave and the upper main, bigger size cave complex. There is a small park to the north of the lower caverns. It has mutilated ruins that were retrieved from surrounding destroyed temples, as well as engraved pillars and a reconstructed inscribed granite mandapa.

They were visible to public after the renovation of the Indrakeerladri base as the part of 7 storied rajagopuram and mahamandapam. It depicts the significant and vivid history of Sathavahanas, vishnukundinulu kulikutubshahis and many more dynasties ruled this bezawada and the scriptures, sasanas about the bezawada and kanakadurga but neglected by the archeological department, kanakadurga temple and governments.

Akkanna Madonna caves are one of the oldest cave temples in vijayawada near to durga maa temple originally buddist caves later modified to hindu temple.. now they r under indian archeology protection.

Good place , good view of part of Vijayawada. But the bushes and trees need to trim a little to get the 360 degree view of surrounding from Gandhi hills . Over all it's perfect place I plan to go there and enjoy the lighting city of Vijayawada in the evening . Can see prakasham barrage from here and newly constructed br ambedker statue and all colourful homes lie on the waves of green mountains/hills can be viewed .

Excellent. Awesome view. We saw Durga Mandir, Prakasham Barrage, Vijaywada railway sation and another temple over a hill. Enjoyed the view during sunset. Lighting effect just after the sunset was mondblowing. The journey in troy train around Gandhi hill took us back to our child hood memories.
