“Cubbon Park has a rich history spanning over 100 years. The Park was established in 1870 by Sri John Meade, the acting Commissioner of Mysore. Cubbon Park was officially named Sri. Chamarajendra Park features aesthetically pleasing buildings and statues of renowned figures within its precincts. While the Park is open to the public, the roads near it are closed every morning from 5 to 8 am to mitigate traffic, providing a tranquil environment for morning jogging and walking enthusiasts. The Park is an excellent destination for family and friends, offering a delightful excursion spot. The Park has 68 genera and 96 species, showcasing around 6,000 trees and plants. At the entrance, the octagonal-shaped Bangalore Aquarium welcomes visitors, showcasing various types of fish. The Horticulture Department of the Government of Karnataka meticulously manages the landscaping within the Park. Despite a well-maintained concrete road running through the Park, only small vehicles are permitted on the premises. Ample parking space is available at Cubbon Park, enhancing the overall accessibility for visitors.
