We tried Kochuri with Aur Dum, Cholar Daal and Lomba Begun Bhaja... Each and every item was perfect... I loved all three combinations with Kochuri... Try to take all three if possible... There are sitting arrangements on the first floor as well... If you are in a large group, you can sit there and enjoy your beautiful meal

I just loved the place , their Sandesh is the main highlight. I visited from Assam just to admire Kolkata’s authentic Sandesh and trust me I didn’t get disappointment. I tried every Sandesh flavour and their names are so sweet Parijaat, Mousumi, Jolbhora, Butterscotch sandesh, Monohari. Must visit place to try authentic kolkata sweets.

One of the best places to try authentic hand blended Kolkata Sandesh....Starting it's journey in the mid 19th century the shop remains the same with no further renovation as such. Starting from jolbhora to coffee sandesh, this shop is a paradise for sweet lovers.

They should put rate boards in each sweet , otherwise one has to ask repeatedly for the price... The service men should wear gloves and there should be seperate person for monetary transactions. It is not good practice to touch notes n coin or swipe machine while serving food.

The sweete are awesome. The staff did help me with choosing the right packaging for it to be carried to abroad and gave assurance. The sweets are still fresh and tasty even after 1 week. Every one liked the sweet and asked for repeat :) It really a pride for me as bengali. Thanks for the end to end quality and keeping the fame alive of Bengali sweets.

Balaram is famous for their fusion items I think .. they always keep the tradition within a modern envelop.. I love their rose sweet always..must try rosogolla, sanpapdi, mistidoi, dryfruit Ladoo.
